Efficient Processes Equal Consistent Results
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, folks: I don’t focus on the bottom line. I believe in the process. Effective business processes should be the backbone of your company. Solid, time-tested processes will provide the organizational structure and support your business needs to thrive. When you create efficient processes, you don’t have to worry about the end results, because the processes will take care of that.
I’m going to use my June numbers to illustrate this, but I’ll deviate from the norm and give you a glimpse of my actual numbers for June. I’ll jump right to the net profit, just so I can make my point. As of June 29, I’ve cleared $194,000 in sales with a $14,000 profit margin. Do the math, that’s about $170,000 a year. And I’ll remind you that this amount is virtually all passive income. My wife and I set up the processes, hired employees and taught them the processes. As a result, we see consistent results that offer us a healthy, passive income.
I’ll go a step further and point out that we pay our team members about $10,600 a month. I still work with my insurance business, and my wife and I are involved in other pursuits, so we’re only interested in completely passive income. If you did the buying, shipping, and other work yourself, you could increase that $14,000 a month profit to over $24,000 or about $190,000 a year. Now that’s something to get excited about!
I like to compare Arbitrage with an ATM machine. You make deposits into your account, then you put your card in and money comes out. With Arbitrage, you make deposits into your account by way of time, education, tribe coaching, effort, patience, and persistence. Once you do that, out comes the money. It doesn’t happen overnight, but when you develop your processes and make your deposits, the money will be there to withdraw.
I’ll leave you with one of my favorite inspirational sayings: Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap. If we are afraid, or we wait too long, we might miss the opportunity of a lifetime. But if we work hard and have faith, we will surely reap the rewards.
